Professional Profile
Introduction: Dr. K. K. Sahu is presently working as Principal Scientist in CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory, Jamshedpur. Subsequent to his doctoral work, he was actively involved in the R & D on process metallurgy. His work on several front-ranking areas like hydrothermal synthesis for preparation of materials, solvent extraction for separation and extraction of materials of high purity and development of clean and efficient metal extraction process, are worth mentioning. The work is recognized through large number (111) of publications in SCI journals and proceedings. He has filed / granted several National and International patents (21). DR. Sahu received CSIR Young Scientist Award for the year 2002 in Engineering Sciences for the significant contribution in the field of material synthesis and development of innovative process technology for efficient extraction and recovery of metals as value added products, received from Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
